Religion, Society, and Interfaith Engagement

An assessment of conflicts and political crises around the world, both past and present, suggests that religion plays an important role and is often a catalyst for violence. But religion is likewise a force for unity and cooperation as demonstrated by faith-based efforts in the Balkans and Mozambique. Religion and faith also play critical roles in shaping the worldview of individuals as well as how they relate to the natural environment. Green School faculty explore the impact of religion on human societies while at the same time highlighting the commonalities of faith traditions and spirituality in addressing universal existential questions.
