Daly Santana-Rodda
Bio
Daly Santana-Rodda is a Research Assistant at Florida International University’s (FIU’s) Jack D. Gordon Institute for Public Policy. She is a current Master of Science in Criminal Justice (MSCJ) student and proud magna cum laude graduate of FIU’s Bachelor of Arts in Political Science degree. She is an honor society member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha. As an undergraduate, she earned certificates in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and National Security, as well as a micro-credential in Fundamentals of Public Advocacy for Informed Citizens with Senator Anitere Flores.
Daly was part of a team which proudly represented FIU in the Atlantic Council's Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge, earning distinctions for their hard work. In addition, Daly has interned with the Marco Rubio office, which furthered her understanding of political processes, public policy, and allowed her to actively engage with her local community.
Daly is a pupil of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto’s Music Conservatory and sponsored pianist by the Steinway Society of Central Florida. She is also certified in mental health training through her ambassadorship in Johns Hopkins' A Place to Talk Program, where she helped students have a safe space to talk.
Driven by a passion for helping others and making a positive impact, Daly is committed to using her knowledge, experiences, and willingness to learn to contribute meaningfully to her field and her community.
