Tom has been teaching in the Religious Studies Department at FIU since 2005, and before that taught psychology and religion courses at various local universities. A former Social Worker and Psychotherapist, he is now a Universalist Minister and owns a pastoral and spiritual counseling practice that sees people around the world. Tom has authored two books: A Fresh Cup of Tolerance—Universalism: The New Religion of Tolerance, and A Fresh Cup of Counseling: A Handbook of Spiritual Counseling. He has a Masters of Social Work (MSW), Master of Divinity (MDiv), and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degrees.
