Hyewon Kang

Biography

Hyewon Kang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Policy and Administration at the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs, Florida International University. She specializes in public budgeting and finance and her current research interests are in state and local government fiscal condition, intergovernmental relationships, fiscal transparency, and financial reporting.

 Dr. Kang holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from the University at Albany, State University of New York. She earned her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in public administration from Yonsei University (Seoul, South Korea).
