Bio

Michael G. Gregory is a Fort Lauderdale native. He joined the Fort Lauderdale Police Department in 1987 and has been assigned to each of the Department’s three bureaus during his career. He has served in command roles over the Information Technology Division, all 3 Patrol Districts, Criminal Investigations Division, Staff Support Division, Special Operations Division and Internal Affairs. He is currently the Assistant Chief of the Support Services Bureau and leads a team of Captains, Sergeants and Civilian Managers in the business side of the Police Department.

Due to his extensive leadership experience and knowledge in police management and technology he is often invited as a guest speaker at events and conferences. Assistant Chief Gregory holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Florida International University. He also completed advanced coursework at the Senior Management Institute for Police (PERF) and is a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
