Bio
Prof. Sungmin Cho is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Modern Languages, director of the Korea Education Abroad program, and faculty advisor for the Korean Language Empowerment Club (KLEC) and the Korean Culture Club (KCC). She has a Master's degree in Korean Language and Literature, researching the “Theatre of the Absurd in Korean Drama, and the Plays of French writer Samuel Baquet.” This research earned her an Excellence Award for her thesis. In addition to Korean Language and Literature, she received a Master's in Middle Eastern history at a graduate school in Cairo, Egypt. She began coursework toward a PhD in Creative Writing in Korea, as well as work toward a doctorate in Drama Education in Australia. In addition to teaching Korean language and culture classes, she also works as a freelance radio writer. She enjoys traveling, reading, tennis, and is a fan of art museums and classical music.
