A Message from Dean Dinar
Dear Green School Community,
As we close out another spring semester, I am filled with immense pride reflecting on all that we have achieved together. The dedication and talent of our students, faculty and alumni continue to inspire me every day, and this newsletter is a wonderful opportunity to share some of their stories with you. Among this semester's many highlights:
- Over twenty of our programs remain ranked in the top 50 in the nation among public universities, a testament to the excellence our School upholds year after year.
- Our FIU Model UN team continues to make us proud, once again ranked #3 in North America and #1 in Florida.
- We had the privilege of presenting the Green School Medallion, our school's highest honor, to Banco Santander Executive Chair Ana Botín, in recognition of her leadership and commitment to expanding access to quality education and growing economic prosperity for millions of people worldwide.
- The Green School hosted nearly 70 events and special programs, bringing renowned scholars, public officials and experts to our school and giving our students unique, one-of-a-kind experiences they can only get here.
- We celebrate our students and their impact and accomplishments, like Sidra Riaz, who served as a Pakistan delegate to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30).
To our graduating class, please know that this moment marks not an ending, but the beginning of something extraordinary. You carry with you the knowledge, values and resilience that will allow you to make a meaningful difference in the world and we could not be more proud. As you step into this next chapter, you also become a vital part of our alumni community, and we invite you to stay connected, engage with current students and give back to your alma mater.
To our faculty, staff and returning students, the summer offers a well-earned chance to rest and recharge. I am deeply grateful to each and every one of you for your tireless commitment to this institution and to the communities we serve.
With gratitude and pride,
Shlomi Dinar
Dean
