Lindsey Maxwell

Bio

Lindsey B. Maxwell is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Program Director of Online Learning in the Department of History. She has also served as a Dual Enrollment Faculty Liaison and Faculty Mentor since 2016, supporting Dual Enrollment faculty to create engaging courses that challenge students at the college level.

An award-winning educator, Dr. Maxwell specializes in educational technology and the role of AI in teaching, helping faculty implement innovative tools to cultivate critical thinking and information literacy. Reflecting her interest in how learning environments shape intellectual and civic engagement, her research traces the rise of homeschooling in late twentieth-century America and its long-term impact on educational policy. Above all, she is committed to creating learning experiences that encourage students to think critically, engage meaningfully with the world around them, and develop a lifelong passion for learning.
