Gédéon Jean is the founder and director of the Center for Human Rights Analysis and Research (CARDH). He has also served as the Secretary of the Independent Electoral Evaluation Commission (CEE), and of the Independent Election Evaluation and Verification Commission (CIEVE), working to resolve the political crisis arising from the presidential and legislative elections of 2015 and the end of the mandate of President Joseph Michel Martelly in 2016. Recently, he participated in the discussions initiated by CARICOM from June 11, 12 and 13, 2023 in Jamaica, with exchanges ongoing today. He holds a master's degree in International Human Rights Law from the University of Nantes and teaches human rights courses at several universities in Haiti.
