Bio

Born and raised in Minsk, Belarus, Ms. Beloshitzkaya graduated top of her class from Belarus State University, majoring in Russian Philology in 2008. Ms. Beloshitzkaya pursued her graduate studies at Manchester University, where she earned her Master of Arts degree in Sociology with distinction in 2009. Her thesis was on Western European welfare states transformation during the period of neoliberalism and beyond. Ms. Beloshitzkaya is currently a PhD student of Politics and International Relations as FIU. Ms. Beloshitzkaya's research focuses on authoritarian resilience in the former Soviet Union region as well as welfare state reforms in post-socialist context. Ms. Beloshitzkaya was trained in both statistical and qualitative methods of data collection and analysis, such as focus groups, content analysis, in-depth interviews. She is familiar with Stata and MaxQDA. Ms. Beloshitzkaya is fluent in English, Russian, and Belarusian and reads Czech.
