Bio

Dr. Rosa Chang is a Teaching Professor and Graduate Program Director in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice. Dr. Chang was conferred the degree of Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Miami in June 2009. Her graduate studies were mainly in the area of criminology. She also holds a Master of Arts in Sociology (2005) from the University of Miami with concentration in criminology and a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice (1999) from Florida International University.

Before her appointment at FIU, Dr. Chang held different positions which allowed her to gain experience in teaching, researching and training. She taught in the School of Justice at Miami Dade College teaching criminal justice academic courses. Dr. Chang also worked at the Miami-Dade Juvenile Service Department as a Juvenile Service Specialist and at the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office as a Victim/Witness Counselor.
