Bio

Sandra W. Jones is Vice President, SBA Administrator at Popular Bank, a leading financial institution headquartered in Puerto Rico, New York, and Miami Lakes.

She has a wealth of experience in all aspects of SBA lending, having worked for over 25 years in various roles at different financial institutions and non-profit lenders. At Popular Bank, Sandra oversees the bank's day-to-day SBA lending operations, including origination, servicing, and workout.

Prior to embarking on her career in SBA lending, Sandra worked for the City of Miami as Economist for the International Trade Board and as Financial Economic Development Coordinator at the Department of Development/CRA.

She is an accomplished trainer and public speaker and has trained over 2,500 economic development professionals in business credit, financial analysis, and deal structuring.

Sandra holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from New York University, where she was inducted into Omicron Delta Epsilon as a junior and Phi Beta Kappa as a senior. She was a member of the Dean's Honor List at NYU in both her junior and senior years and won the Founders Day Award in her senior year. Sandra earned her master’s degree in economics from Florida International University.
