Christopher Calvo

Bio

I have taught as an adjunct instructor in the Department of History at FIU since the early 2000s.  I earned a Ph.D. in American History at FIU in 2012.  My area of expertise is American economic thought.  In 2020 I published a book on the topic, “The Emergence of Capitalism in Early America”  I write book reviews for the Journal of American History and the Journal of Religion.  And I referee articles for academic journals like the Journal of History and the Journal of the History of Political Economy.  

Born and raised in Miami.

I started as a student at FIU in 1996.
