Bio

Logan Walker received his B.S.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2016). Later, he completed his M.A. in Asian Studies from Florida International University (2021), where he is currently pursuing a PhD in International Relations. Prior to joining the Jack D. Gordon Institute, Mr. Walker served in the non-profit field, both domestically and abroad, as a technical support specialist and advisor. His research interests include state narratives, securitization processes and the impact of state-supported illicit enterprises on state behavior. Mr. Walker has written on several topics in the security field including Sino-Russian relations, the securitization of the South China Sea, and the difficulties of security cooperation in Japanese-Korean relations. Currently, Mr. Walker is serving as a Research Coordinator for the Institute and leads a team of research analysts in the curation and development of analytic product in support of FIU’s Security Research Hub.
