Green School faculty on multiple panels, receive awards at NASPAA conference

| By

The Green School's Department of Public Policy and Administration was actively represented at least week's annual conference of NASPAA (Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration), with Dean Shlomi Dinar and six faculty members participating on five different panels. Topics ranged from leveraging international perspectives in public administration education and teaching cybersecurity to navigating new laws around diversity, equity and inclusion.

Congratulations to Nicki Fraser, assistant teaching professor and assistant department chair, for receiving the Pi Alpha Alpha chapter advisor award of excellence and to Agatha Caraballo, associate teaching professor and director, Maurice A. Ferré Institute for Civic Leadership, for her runner-up pitch in the Public Innovation Challenge Global Competition held by the Institute for the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Service at Ohio University.

The FIU team enjoyed meeting with its extended academic family, including five of our doctoral alumni that now work in universities around the country.
