
Jeffery Tobin
Bio
Jeff Tobin is a research assistant focusing on project management of analytic products. He is a PhD student in the School of International and Public Affairs at FIU, with specific interests in interbranch relations and political institutions. He also is a graduate student in the Latin American and Caribbean Studies program at the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at FIU, researching institutional corruption and migration. Jeff has more than 20 years of experience in media, working as a journalist and editor in several major US markets. Jeff covered politics in California, Illinois, Missouri, and North Carolina, as well as the Food and Drug Administration in Washington, D.C., before becoming a newsroom director for a national media corporation. He has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Webster University in St. Louis, MO, and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Oregon State University.
