FIU EMPA student receives National Park Service 2015 Director's Partnership Award

Jacqueline Crucet, Program Manager at National Parks Conservation Association and graduate student at the Department of Public Administration, is the recipient of the 2015 Director’s Partnership Award. The award recognizes the outstanding achievements carried out by national park partners nationwide.

Crucet will be recognized for her part in the creation of a free public trolley service between the City of Homestead and both Everglades and Biscayne National Parks, according to a previous article. Launched in January 2014, the weekend trolley service provides guided tours to the parks for thousands of people throughout the winter tourist season. The service is a win-win for the parks and the city, attracting a steady stream of first-time park visitors and drawing tourism to downtown Homestead.
