1st Annual Ibero-American Young Leader’s Parliament

From September 17 to September 19, 2014, the Institute for Public Management and Community Service’s Center for Democracy and Good Governance collaborated in the creation of the 1st Annual Ibero-American Young Leader’s Parliament in Zaragoza, Spain. Political leaders from throughout Ibero-America, including former Presidents of Costa Rica and Uruguay, came together to discuss topics of great interest within the region in regards to “Democracy and Political Participation.” The plenary sessions were conducted as a parliamentary debate and also included the participation of academics from various parts of the world, civil rights activists, policy analysts and senior officials from various governments and international organizations.
