3rd Annual Hemispheric Security Conference Assessing the 2018 Security Environment

Join FIU and the U.S. Army War College for the 3rd Annual Hemispheric Security Conference. This year’s program assesses the 2018 security environment.

The program will feature keynotes by Juan Cruz, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Western Hemisphere Affairs, and Pete Marocco, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Bureau of Conflict and Stabilization Operations, U.S. Department of State.

The opening panel will include a discussion with the four former Deputy Assistant Secretaries of Defense for the Western Hemisphere: Roger Pardo-Maurer, Stephen Johnson, Frank Mora, who is also the director of the Kimberly Green Latin American and Caribbean Center at FIU, and Rebecca Chavez.

Other panelists include: Steven Dudley, Enrique Dussel Peters, R. Evan Ellis, Daniel P. Erikson, Eric Farnsworth, Brian Fonseca, Eduardo Gamarra, Miriam Kornblith, Jennie K. Lincoln, Roger Noriega, Patrick Quirk, Dan Restrepo, Ricardo J. Sanchez, and Andrei Serbin Pont
